This automobile was purchased new in 1969 by Morris Bernstein of San Francisco as a gift to Rea Bernstein, his wife for her 50 years birthday.
The car was driven in the San Francisca area for about 10 years. For the first 6 or 7 years the car was driven by Mrs. Bernstein, then, in about 1979, she became invalided and had to have a personal driver.

Mr. Bernstein, who was referred as “ Mr. San Francisco” by many and was considered one of the great philanthropist of the bay area, seldom drove the Rolls Royce, since he preferred to drive his own GM Corvette about town. He served for a number of years as president of the San Francisco Fire Commission before being appointed as a Member of the Airport commission, where he served as president for about ten years, until his death in 1991.

An interesting little side note: he believed that the Rolls was only a car to be driven about town, as a result, it never was driven out of the San Francisco area. Of course we know that the Rolls Royce is a magnificent auto and handles the highways extremely well.

In October 1991, the car title was turned over to Lee Marie Anderson from San Pedro California. It has been garaged there since. Unfortunately, Lee Marie Anderson has had very little time to either enjoy or drive the Rolls and is now retired in Avalon California, where an auto is neither welcomed or needed.

In 1993, Gery Bioul, a Belgian car collector living in Argentina, bought the car while enjoying holiday vacations in the Los Angeles area. The Rolls Royce was imported in Argentina: Tandil, province of Buenos Aires. The mileage at this time was around 90 000 miles. Géry Bioul drove the car in the Tandil area and seldom in Mar del Plata (Atlantic coast of the province).

It is important to mention that in USA the mileage counters are sealed and it is a legal offense to falsify the marks. The state of the car is exceptional for its age. This is explained by the sporadic use along the time and also by the very special care and respect that the successive owners brought to this noble automobile.
